Le Rêve at the Wynn Hotel

Le Rêve is a theatrical aquatic show at Wynn Las Vegas. Le Rêve means “The Dream” in French. Le Rêve was the name of the hotel resort before it was changed to Wynn Las Vegas. The show is also the name of a painting that Steve Wynn owns, Le Rêve by Picasso.

The production is held in a one million-gallon water capacity theater stage. The incredibly engineered stage is a circular 27 foot deep pool of water with over 1500 theatre seats encircling it. The theater’s design makes the audience feel a close part of the show and ensures that there is no bad seat in the house. The furthest seat is no more than 42 feet from the water.

The show is mystifying featuring diving and feats of strength with state-of-the-art special effects. The performers are aerialists, acrobats, and synchronized swimmers. Every performer must be scuba-certified.

A floating bed in the shimmering blue water begins the dream. Special lighting reflects off the water to change the mood of the scene from serene to ominous, and simulate the elements of rain, snow and fire.

This breathtaking show incorporates elements of ballet, diving, swimming, stunts and mime with gymnasts, aerialists and synchronized swimmers. The show incorporates over 70 performers.

They dazzle the audience as they descend from the high arched ceiling or surprise members as they run through the theater and ascend into the water.

A rotating treelike platform rises from the pool to allow gymnasts to perform incredible poses and dives. Beautifully costumed dancers tango on a platform while the synchronized swimmers hypnotize with their underwater dance, adding a fabulous multi-level effect.
